Mission
Specialty Outpatient Clinic for Motor Neuron Diseases at TU Munich's university hospital. Head: Senior Physician Prof. Dr. med. Paul Lingor (principal investigator). Team: 2 study nurses, 2 residents, full department infrastructure including CSF laboratory and biobank. Serves approximately 5 million people in greater Munich area. Diagnoses and treats broad spectrum of motor neuron diseases with emphasis on ALS and SMA, plus multidisciplinary care with drug therapies, assistive devices, and palliative therapies. Strong research focus on disease mechanisms, biomarkers, and early symptom characterization; develops self-initiated clinical trials. ENCALS member.
