Motor Neuron Outpatient Clinic at Bergmannsheil University Hospital covering ALS, SMA, and hereditary spastic spinal paralysis. Senior Consultant Dr. Ute Weyen heads the ALS Outpatient Clinic; Chief Senior Consultant Prof. Dr. Matthias Vorgerd oversees broader neurology; Secretariat: Marius Bender. Collaborates with Charité on biomarker studies, molecular genetic tests, and health care research. Offers intrathecal Tofersen therapy for ALS patients with confirmed SOD1 mutations via outpatient infusion clinic. SMA patients treated with nusinersen (intrathecal) or risdiplam (oral); SMArtCARE registry inclusion offered. Participates in multicenter randomized therapy studies.
