Patient volume: 3,000+ patients hospitalized in the Department of Neurology each year (including ALS) Polish referential center for diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular diseases (per ENCALS) Primary Warsaw neurology center + national referral center for rare neuromuscular diseases in Poland Polish SOD1 cohort study: 915 consecutive prospectively tested Polish ALS patients — identified 15 SOD1 mutations in 21.1% familial and 2.3% sporadic cases (Żekanowski/Kuźma-Kozakiewicz 2022, with Umeå + Pomeranian Medical University collaboration)
